Our Team

Our Equine therapy:

At Inside Out Counselling, our equine therapy sessions are offered in the great outdoors, creating a refreshing alternative to the traditional therapy room. Stepping outside removes the four walls that can sometimes feel confining or intimidating, replacing them with open skies, fresh air, and the calming presence of nature. This natural environment often helps clients feel more relaxed and grounded, making it easier to explore emotions, process experiences, and open up at their own pace. One of the most unique aspects of equine therapy is that the focus isn’t solely on sitting across from a therapist. Instead, the presence of the horse provides a gentle shift in attention, easing the pressure that can come with face-to-face conversations. This can be especially helpful for people who feel uncomfortable being the centre of focus, as the horse naturally becomes part of the therapeutic process. Interacting with the horse whether through grooming, leading, or simply being near them creates space for self-reflection without the intensity of constant direct dialogue. Horses are incredibly intuitive animals, often mirroring human emotions and responding to non-verbal cues, which can foster powerful insights. Working alongside them outdoors allows clients to gain awareness of their own feelings and behaviours in a safe, non-judgmental way. The combination of being outside in nature and building connection with a horse provides a sense of freedom, grounding, and authenticity, making equine therapy a deeply enriching and healing experience.  If you’re ready to step outside the four walls of traditional therapy and experience the unique healing power of equine therapy, we invite you to book a session today.
